As I know how much us, Roman Catholics, are devoted to the Relics of the Christian Religion, my Religious Catholic Tours of Rome are focused on the Relics of the Passion of Christ, Relics of the Apostles Peter and Paul and the places of the their life in Rome. In addition, I always try to show on spot any reference in the Acts of The Apostles and of the Letters of St. Paul to the City of Rome. In other words, I try to make an unforgettable Religious Tour of the Memories and the fundaments of the Christian Religion.
A good question is: which is the difference between a Christian Rome Tour and a Catholic Rome Tour if the Christian sites of Rome are essentially the same and the 95% of the Churches in Rome are Roman Catholics Churches?
It is an hard question. I tried to split the two tours for intellectual honesty. The Catholic Rome tours deal with the history of the Christians in Rome (the early Christians in Rome) and the persecutions of Christians in Rome or may interest those visitors who look forward to the sites of the Catholic Martyrs (so many of them in downtown Rome) and Catholic Saints (for ex., St. Ignatius of Loyola and St. Benedict). Also, as we outlined in our web page dedicated to the Christian Tours, for Christian Rome I mean the general sites of the Rome Christianity with also some of the Churches in Rome being relevant to the Christian history of Rome: practically, 2000 years of history.
If, in one hand, all our visitors of Christian Faith are interested in some of the sites of the Christians in Rome, on the other hand most of the Catholics are searching for the most relevant sites of the Catholicism. For Catholic Rome, also, I mean the Catholic doctrine, traditions, institutions and religious orders which are strictly dealing with the Catholic Church (e.g. Universal), and are considered to be the "working machine" of The Holy See, better known as the Vatican City State.
I provide specific Catholic tours of Rome, religious tours of Rome, all services related to the Catholic pilgrimages to Rome and so religious travel packages, hotel bookings, religious accommodation and any activity related to better live and discover the Religious Rome.
TOUR COMBOS AVAILABLE AMONGST: ANY PLACE THE CATHOLIC ROME TOURS & ANY OTHER AVAILABLE TOUR. PLENTY OF FLEXIBILITY.

CATHOLIC ROME - TOUR 4 - The Sites of the Roman Catholic Martyrs
Duration: appx. 8 hours.
Private Transportation: required
Our Catholic Rome tour will be driven to the research, prayer and pilgirmage to the tombs of the Catholic Martyrs excecuted throughout the persecutions of Christians in Ancient Rome. Due to the vastity, we suggest to devide our Religious tours in multiple days. The relics of the Catholic Saints can be seen in most of the cases.
* Basilica of Ss. Apostles: in the fascinating crypt, it is the tomb of the Apostles Phillip (crucified upside down like St. Peter) and James the Minor (martyr during Nero's time, being stoned, in 62 A.D.)
* Basilica of S.te Praxedis: Titulus Praxedis, tombs of S.te Prassede and Pudenziana, the two sisters executed during the Emperor Antonino Pio (138-161 A.D.) + Pope Pascal I moved over 2300 bodies of the Roman martyrs from the Catacombs of Priscilla to this Basilica. Note: this Basilica has one of the most extraordinary mosaics of Rome.
* Basilica of Santa Pudenziana: "Titulus Pudente", built on top of the Pudente's House in the Viminal Hill who housed for a while the Apostle St. Peter during his travel to Rome. Note: The Basilica has the oldest mosaic of the Rome Churches.
* Basilica of S.te Cecilia in Trastevere: "Titulus Ceciliae", housed St.Valeriano and his dughter, Santa Cecilia, both martyrs during Emperor Marcus Aurelius. House of Santa Cecilia, sarcophagi of Ss. Cecilia, Valeriano, Tiburzio, Maximus and Popes Urban I (222-230) and Lucius (253-254). Note: it has an extraodinary mosaic made during Pope Pascal II (1009-1118) + Fresco of the Last Judgment of P. Cavallini (XIV Cent.)
* Basilica of St. Mark at the Capitol Hill: in the crypt, sarcophagi of Ss. Abdon and Sennen. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Basilica of St. Mark was eretected by the Pope Mark on 336 A.D. exactly on top of the cave where St. Mark, on behalf on St. Peter, wrote his Gospel to the Romans.
* Basilica of S.te Agnes Outside the Walls: sarcophagi of Ss. Agnes and Emerenziana, executed during Emperor Trajan (95 A.D.) + Mausoleum of Costanza, daughter of Emperor Constantine + Catacombs of Sant'Agnese.
* Basilica of S.te Agnes Within the Walls: relics of the Sainte in the crypt, same site of her martyrdom (on the steps of the Stadium of Domitian, on top of which was later built Piazza Navona)
* Basilica of St. Lawrence outside the Walls: an extraordinary example of Medieval Architecture, it has the tomb of St. Steven (Protomartyr) and St. Giustino Presbiter, other than the tomb of the Pope Pio IX.
* Basilica of St. Clement: "Titulus Clementis", tomb of the third successor of St. Peter, is where we have the tomb of the two out of the four Doctors of the Eastern Orthodox Church, Ss. Cyrillus and Methodius. It has one of the most beautiful mosaics in all over Rome (1124).
* Basilica of Ss. John and Paul al Celio "Titulus Pammachii or Byzantis", other than having the incredible subterranean ambiences, is where the two Roman officiers lived and were killed during the brief period of the Christian persecutions during the Emperor Julian the Apostate (362-364 A.D.)
* Basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri: Michelangelo Buonarroti designed a stupendous Renaissance Church in the remains of the Tepidarium of the Baths of Emperor Diocletian (284-305 A.D.) who, responsible for the greatest persecutions in Rome of the Christians, for its construction, used tons of Christians as slaves and hundreds of them died in the construction of the Baths. In the Cybo Chapel are some of the relics of these Christian martyrs.
Our list could be endless due to the amount of the unknown Roman Martyrs - the early Martyrs of ther Church of Rome, reminded in the Catholic calendar on June 30th, who were killed starting with the Nero's persecutions (64 A.D.) and ended only with the Emperor Constantine (313 A.D. with the Edit of Milan).
